Wind

Chinese medicine regards wind as an evil invader. The wind serves as a driver of intruding forces into the body. This wind element, while inside the body, challenges the immune system so it is best to protect yourself from allowing this element in.

What you can do right now: During these times it is imperative to keep your neck covered and protected with a scarf, turtleneck, coat, etc. In addition, cover your low back and ears.

What healing treatments can do: Support your immune system, expel the wind element, and strengthen your defenses against intruding forces through acupuncture. Additionally, cupping methods help to extract the lingering wind element and hot stones help to heat the body back up and relieve muscle tension.

  1. I love this! Quick questions for you: Once the wind gets in, is there anything I can do on my own to get it out of my system?
